Morning training

Discipline before debugging.

I train every single day. Push-ups first, then code. It’s the same idea that got me through 1337: small reps, no skipped days, and the foundations get strong.

About

I like knowing what happens under the hood.

I started at 1337 (42 Network) in Morocco, writing memory allocators, shells, thread-synchronised simulations and network servers from scratch in C and C++, with no external libraries. That’s where I learned how memory, processes and sockets really behave.

From there I founded Cagrex, a developer-assessment platform I built alone end to end, then joined Lysi Consulting as a full-stack developer shipping AI features into a live production platform. I also freelance on Upwork, including a full Next.js build and deployment for a TELUS Digital client. Right now I’m building mobile games with Godot and Unity, with Claude Code in the loop.

On the desk

  • C
  • C++
  • Python
  • TypeScript
  • Next.js
  • NestJS
  • React
  • PostgreSQL
  • Docker
  • Godot
  • Unity
  • Claude Code

How I work

  1. From scratch first. I’ve built the allocator, the shell and the server myself, so I know what the abstractions cost.
  2. End to end. Database, API, UI, deploy: I like owning the whole thing until it’s live.
  3. AI in the loop. I build with Claude Code every day, and I’ve built products that measure how developers work with AI.

Each colour on the bookshelf is a subject. Hover one here or click the books in the room.

      1. Freelance web engineering on Upwork.

        • Delivered gulfblueconcepts.com end to end for a TELUS Digital client: design, Next.js 14 build and production deployment.
        • Set up the server myself: AWS EC2, Nginx reverse proxy, PM2 and Let’s Encrypt SSL.
        • Earned a repeat engagement from the same client.
      2. Full-stack work on an AI-powered HR and recruitment platform, shipping inside a live production system.

        • Built AI-driven features in TypeScript and Node.js with LLM integrations.
        • Built a NetSuite integration with OAuth 2.0 machine-to-machine authentication.
      3. Founded Cagrex, a developer-assessment platform for the AI era, and built the whole product alone.

        • Two-phase assessments: logic challenges, then real build tasks with an AI assistant inside E2B sandboxes on a fixed token budget.
        • RLHF-style evaluation rubrics scoring code understanding, efficiency and working style.
        • Next.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Claude and Gemini APIs.
      4. Peer-to-peer, project-based school. Completed the Common Core writing C and C++ with no external libraries: ft_malloc, minishell, Philosophers, an IRC server, cub3D, and Inception / IoT on the ops side.
